Richard developed his passion and skills for painting as a teenager. While in high school during the summers, Richard worked as a prepper for different painting companies as a summer job. In school, Richard exceeded in creative fine art (something that would come handy as fine finish painter). After high school Richard attended college while working as a house painter. Rapidly, Richard climbed up the ranks in different painting companies to supervisor. Eventually getting his contractors state license in painting and decoration in 2005, and establishing Rainbow Custom Painting of Santa Barbara.
